What are the Coaching2 Workshops?

Matching Workshop: Month One

Full day Matching Workshop where participants are introduced to their coaching partners, practise coaching techniques and set their agenda for the coming months.

Mid-Term Workshop: Month Four

Half day mid-term workshop focussed on group networking, sharing success and working on personal impact skills.

End-of-Term Workshop: Month Nine

Half day celebratory event with work on action learning sets, senior leaders Q&A panel and guest inspirational speaker.

Please note: Participants must attend all 3 workshops and commit to self managed coaching throughout the nine month programme.

Pre-Course Work:

Participants are required to:

  • complete a short biography to be shared with the other participants
  • prepare a two minute personal presentation to be given at the first workshop
  • bring along to the first workshop their goals, or specific areas for development they wish to work on

Matching Workshop - selected dates

Timing - full day from 09.30 to 16.00

Host - a participating organisation

Objectives:

  • Learn how to coach and practise with the group.
  • Identify and commit to a coaching partner from a different organisation.
  • Create a development plan for the next nine months.

Agenda:

  • Group-work on essential coaching skills and criteria.
  • Self presentation.
  • Introduction to using the GROW model.
  • Practical coaching exercises and observation.
  • Networking exercises.
  • Confidential partner selection.
  • Defining ways of working and future planning.

Post Workshop:

  • Participants set their own agenda and self-manage the coaching relationship with support from us.
  • Coaching partners must set aside a minimum of two hours per month to coach, or be coached.

Mid-Term Workshop – after four months – all participants

Timing - half day, from 09.30 to 13.00

Host - a participating organisation

Objectives:

  • Network with the larger group.
  • Share successes and best practice.
  • Take part in a practical skills development workshop.

 

 

Participants choose one of the following options:

  • Personal Impact Skills.
  • Presentation and Communication Skills.
  • Effective Networking.

End of Term Workshop – after nine months – all participants

Timing – 15.00 to 18.00

Host – a participating organisation

Objectives:

  • Practise group coaching and form action learning sets.
  • Question a panel of senior leaders about progression.
  • Learn from an inspirational speaker.
  • Celebrate success with complimentary refreshments.
