Scene Change offers three key development workshops: Forum Theatre, Role Play and Personal Impact Skills.

Forum Theatre

Forum Theatre is a dynamic workshop, using drama and professional actors to engage with delegates and encourage discussion. Using a bespoke Forum Theatre package at your event effectively generates debate about key messages your organisation wants to put across. Previous workshops have been successfully delivered on:

  • Unconscious bias
  • Diversity and inclusion
  • Bullying in the workplace
  • Sexual discrimination (women and LGBT* people)

  • Sick absence (disability non-disclosure and staff morale)
  • Domestic violence
  • Mock trials
  • Health & safety

*Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender

Clients include: Shell Norway, Guardian News and Media, Ministry of Justice, Brandon Trust, Lord Chancellor's Department, Department for Constitutional Affairs, West Lothian College, Norwegian-British Chamber of Commerce.

Role play

Professional role-players are often used to assess or train staff in customer service or management skills. This approach allows staff the confidence to practice having difficult conversations within a safe environment. People are most likely to learn from experience and therefore allowing a candidate to try out behaviour in a controlled, real-life situation can bring about huge benefits for the individual and the organisation as a whole.

Where role-play can work for you:

  • Assessment and development centres
  • Medical Practitioner assessment
  • Interviewing skills training
  • Appraisal training
  • Customer handling skills

Professional role-players will:

  • bring a realistic performance according to given guidelines
  • give a consistent performance to all participants
  • respond to different circumstances in a realistic manner
  • give you a model from which to make fair assessments
  • give intelligent feedback

Clients include: NHS, City and Guilds Group, Occupational Psychology Services Ltd, Department for Constitutional Affairs

Personal Impact skills

This interactive workshop is for people who want to maximise their presence and impact. In today's climate it is more important than ever to be able to show yourself to your best advantage and to make a lasting impression on those around you. This workshop is for people who want to influence others, communicate with confidence, make better presentations or deliver difficult messages.

We use actor training techniques to show you how to use speech patterns, body language and emotion to convey the message you want to deliver.

Better personal impact skills will help you to:

  • deliver better presentations
  • raise your visibility in the organisation
  • increase confidence
  • improve your leadership style

  • deliver better customer service
  • enhance the impact of your sales team
  • become a better communicator
  • influence others
